Hidmo is hosting their 2nd annual family reunion, a chance to get together, catch up with old friends and meet new friends at our new home in Washington Hall. Hidmo food (yes, injera!), dozens of community groups and partners, local artist storefront, and family-centered activities anchor the day. Get a personal tour of Washington Hall, experience exciting programming featuring our amazing community members, and dance the night away with the World Dance Party!

Seattle Salon with SPOCS (Seattle People of Color Salon)

A community conversation focused on this year’s Seattle mayoral race. What does a mayor really do, and how does the mayor’s office affect your life, your family, and your community? What issues should we bring to the forefront, and what should we be looking for in our candidates? Learn more about the candidates running for mayor from impassioned, candid local advocates and experts.

The Youth Speaks Seattle 2013 Slam Team

6:00pm | Main Hall | Youth Speaks—who lived in Hidmo for several years—is the premiere youth spoken word poetry program in Seattle, and their 2013 Slam Team features five phenomenal teenage poets and performers. See them for the first time as a team before they go to Chicago to represent our city in the Brave New Voices International Poetry Slam Competition!
